ICS and SCADA Summer Research: As part of the VICEROY Summer internship, I worked with a group of seven interns to research Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, which fall under a wider category of Industrial Control Systems (ICS). The project was assigned to our team by an Air Force Officer at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The purpose of the project was to find open-source SCADA simulation software that would later be used to train Air Force personnel on ICS and possibly help in exploiting weak cyber defenses in SCADA. i5 Space Squadron Briefings & Projects:
Created Detachment 905's first i5 Space club, a nationally-recognized student organization beneath the United States Space Force. As Squadron Commander, I worked alongside a Space Force Guardian to build club bylaws, speaker events, give space-related and educational briefings, as well as launch a recreational rocket. The club has plans to become a sponsored club by the University of Idaho, grow double in size in the Fall of 2023, conduct its first officer elections, and decorate its members with i5 Space uniform patches. Python UDP Client & Server:
Created two python source files, one containing a client program and another containing a server program. Both programs used the User Datagram Protocol (UDP) to securely and reliably transport a file across an unsecure network. The programs chopped the file into pieces, attached with an index, and would continue to be sent to the server on the network until all pieces (or packets) had been received by the server program. Python Asteroids Game:
Another project coded for CS212, this program used several python modules to create the old and famous game called "Asteroids". One of these modules included the turtle.py module, using polymorphism and object-oriented programming to develop the final product in Visual Studio Code. View here: python_project_2_report__1_.pdf |
C Shell for Kali Linux:
For CS240, this program involved creating a shell interface. The interface was meant to be similar to other command-line interfaces, or shells, like BASH and Command Prompt. As shell execution can lead to security problems if commands are done incorrectly, particularly with processes, I coded the shell in Kali Linux, but the shell was also designed to work in other environments. As intended, the shell, called and invoked with "uish" prompts the user for input and executes all commands as normal, including parallel and background execution. View here: uish_shell_cs240.pdf |
Google Docs Usability White Paper:
In this White Paper for ENGL317, I performed the cognitive usability test on the Google Docs utility. The test was intended to test how useful, efficient, flexible, effective, intuitive, and fault-resistant Google Docs was for beginner to intermediate users. In the White Paper, I test 20 different tasks a user would wish to perform when writing up a report for a school project. The results are evaluated using the Likert scale and the raw data is displayed in tables in an Appendix. View here: engl317_white_paper__final___1_.pdf |
